questerslog: Ice Queen from Kurt Christenson & Reilly Brown’s Power Play Reilly Brown’s art is easily some of the most impressive comic work I’ve stumbled on in recent years (most recently on Spider-Man and Alpha Flight) and unless my eyes are playing tricks on me it’s almost as if he’s channeling Jose Luis Garcia Lopez (look closely at Ice Queen’s eyes, mouth and facial structure, even her posture, in this image if you don’t yet see it), which is an impressive feat as JLGL is both alive and prolific in  his own right. Whatever the case, Brown’s line-art is clean, crisp, and extremely competent, as are his page layouts. The Power Play preview, featuring Ice Queen and other characters, can read online by making the jump at the link below. The preview briefly introduces us to several of the major players in the up-coming series, and if this is the kind of quality we’re going to get, curses, I’m going to have to read it!
